Each year, World Marriage Day (Sunday, February 12) and this week’s National Marriage Week provide opportunities to promote, celebrate and strengthen marriages! This special initiative honors husband and wife as the foundation of the family, the basic unit of society. It salutes the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily married life.
Virtual Marriage Retreat
The USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has designed an exciting seven-day virtual retreat with inspiration, prayer, discussion topics and more! Take time each day with your spouse in the comfort of your own home for the retreat.
Even if you missed signing up at the table after Mass, you can still participate in the retreat! Simply download the below pages (seven separate PDF "attachments") corresponding to the current day. Together with your spouse, read the day's theme explanation and reflection, discuss the "Share With Each Other" questions and pray the "Prayer of Married Couples."
The "Red Box" section of each page pertains to the red boxes handed out at the table in the narthex after all Masses on February 11 & 12. If you didn't get a chance to pick up a red box after Mass, then you can use any two small boxes or containers you have on hand, one for each spouse, along with paper and pens to complete these activities.
